Mother And Brother Of Academy Award Winner Jennifer Hudson Found Dead

UPDATE 5:40 PM CT: An all points bulletin has been issued for a boy, believed to be Hudson's 7-year-old nephew, who may have been taken from the scene. Police are looking for 1994 white Suburban with the license plate X584859.

UPDATE 6:35 PM PT: Police are looking for looking for William Balfour, who they claim could be with the missing 7-year-old. According to records, Balfour listed Hudson's mother's address as a place of residence within the last year. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections website, Balfour is currently on parole after serving jail time for attempted murder.


The 2 people found murdered in a Chicago South Side home today are believed to be the mother and brother of Academy Award winner/singer Jennifer Hudson. Hudson can currently be seen in "The Secret Life Of Bees" with Queen Latifah and Alicia Keys.

OMG is all I can say! My prayers are with Jennifer Hudson and her family.

Police believe it is "domestic" whatever that means. A cousin discovered the bodies about 2:44pm today. Police spokeswoman Monique Bond says the deaths appear to be the result of domestic abuse but declined to elaborate.
